Inspiration to Write

One of the keys that I've learned as a writer is that the best way to learn to write is to read great books, written by great authors who use language in a way that captivates a readers' interest, be it a story or article. Some of my favorite writers for children are Dr. Seuss, Roald Dahl, and E.B. White. I enjoy reading their works, because they allow me as the reader to imagine what their character might be experiencing by their use of vivid, concrete, descriptive words. They know that showing is always better than telling.
